Default no boost

ok so i bought this: Auto Meter | BDHZ5704 | 2in. BOOST; 0-35 PSI; MECH PHANTOM - Alligator Performance

and i bought a boost bolt from leroydiesel. I installed the bolt in the center rear position and ran my line to the gauge. started it up and got nothing revved the motor still nothing. took the line off both ends and shot air through it and it has no restrictions.

if i hold my finger over the opening on the boost bolt i don't feel anything either. so am i doing something wrong or is there something wrong?

i just put air to the gauge and it works....

install in the intake, after the turbo. Mine is in the upper intake plenum and works great.

Boost bolt works fine and you installed it correctly.
Boost is load dependent so don't expect boost revving in the driveway-take it for a drive and do some hard acceleration and hill climbing/towing to see boost.

Also verify the wastegate is operating properly-at idle the wastegate lever should be pulled forward/up and should be hard to move with your finger.
