1996 k3500 6.5 td 4x4
I'm new at this website, I'm looking for help.
I have a 1996 k3500 6.5 td 4x4. About 2 months ago I bought new battery, terminal ends, gave the cables good connection. Had the truck running good driving. Then one day I went out to fire it up an haul hay around the farm. An went to fire it up glow plug light came on an let it go off. Turned key didn't make a sounds traced wire to starter wire crimp was off the small wore going to starter. Fixed that about week later went to fire back up it did same stuff but all the wires are connected I can tap the starter it will engages sometimes not all time. Fire is getting to starter. So don't know if it's starter or what need someone to give me a options to check to make sure ? I live hour from closest town. Appreciate all the help I can get

China starter solenoid?
Some people find that if they use a ford solenoid triggered by the orighinal starter engage wire(S terminal wire) and use heavier gauge wire from battery voltage in one side of the ford solenoid and out the other to the starter solenoid S terminal they have better results-more amps to the starter solenoid windings sometimes make up for a poor part for a while.
