94 6.5L turbo diesel mod suggestions?
so i just bought a 1994 chevy 1500 4x4 ext cab with a 6.5L turbo diesel. i dont plan on using it to haul much its going to be my daily driver. i have what i think is a PMD relocator to right behind my front bumper with a hole to allow for better airflow. it has a full 4 inch exhaust with top of the line 18 wheeler stacks on it. i was wondering what longevity/mpg mods i should do? i dont have a huge budget but i will be saving and putting most of what i earn into it.
also on another note. has anyone tried doing a FMIC for a diesel? kind of like all the tuners do? i understand it brings down intake temperatures and that helps keep things a little bit cooler. let me know your thoughts thanks.

The stock turbo is pretty restrictive FYI. Also a free flowing Air filtration system will certiainly help as well as lower ETGs. JUst keep in mind, black smoke belching out of stacks looks cool, but its a major waste of fuel and kills fuel mileage. The less smoke, the more efficient your engine is running.

believe me im not one of those guys that wants to blow smoke i didnt by a diesel because they are rediculously powerful or because they blow black smoke or sound awsome. the main reason that i bought a diesel is because im going to school this fall for diesel tech and well it made sense. and i love diesels. so your saying that replacing my turbo and my intake filter will increase my gas mileage? i plan on doing alot of cooling system upgrades aswell.
