Hello all.I got a GMC Sierra 6,5 td -95 and the cruise works fine just after start and works sometimes for hours,then when i turn it of it wont work until i stopped the engine for a few minutes,then it works again.I checked the brake switch and it´s ok. Anyone got an idea?

 

Multi function/turn signal switch?

PMD that is failing can affect cruise as well.

 

Okay, i have tried three different pmd's and still the same. I don't even have to touch the signal switch,just the brake and then trying to resume very gentle and it's dead,sometimes it works if i go to neutral and turn the key of and starts again,still on the roll. Do you know where the cruise module is located?

 

It's the ECM.

Do you have any trouble codes?
They can interfere with cruise?

Still sounds like a bad signal/multifunction switch though?

 

No trouble codes and runs like a charm.Mounted a chip from Engs motor and it works better then expected,less fuel consumption and more power. Can recommend that.
