Last night, while driving on the interstate, my cruise control quit; and I lost all control to the throttle. I found the rod connecting the throttle linkageto the Iinjector pump had come loose at the ball/socket joint. Does anyone have any photos of how the cruise control is connected to the throttle linkage?

 

It isn't. There is a vacuum line that goes from the vacuum tree on the firewall to the cruise control diaphragm under the left battery. Mine, at least, has a rubber coupling about halfway down the line that could have come apart when the linkage disconnected, I'd look there first.
