Cant believe theres hardly anyone on dieselbombers this weekend. but as too your question both are required.you must put new pump rotor in same position as old one and time the new one.here is a link to download the free program too time it.u download onto laptop and buy a obd1/usb cord.as for installing theres some vids on youtube and othere threads.hard for me too write the whole process on my tiny smartphone

But if u just put the pump in same location the truck will probally start but advise to time it otherwise youll be changing pumps out left and right and goin into limp mode most likely n will have crap for power.and bigger problems

The free version of GMTD ScanTech will not initiate a TDCO relearn in 94/95 truck.

The paid version of the software or a tech 1 or tech II with OBD1 expansion pack are the only tools that will work for setting timing on those years truck.

Have you guys found a good way to produce some power? I have the # 9 resistor Bosch injectors and 4 inch straight exhaust. But always looking for a little more. I've read about chips but not sure...

A better turbo is one of the better ways along with the chip reprogramming.

An intercooler would be wise and/or water injection.

The stock GM turbo is a dog when striving for power.

An ATT or holset HX40 are good upgrade choices.

More boost helps but has a cost so getting a more efficient turbo that keeps boost at the same levels produces gains.
