Default Truck just died going down rd

Helo everyone, Im new to diesels, and have a problem. I have a 83 k5 with the 6.2 in it. I just left my house when my truck lost most of the power and then just died. Its not out of fuel. I cracked open one of my injector lines at the pump, and nothing comes out when I turn it over. I hooked up a clear line to the return and it pumps fuel out, no bubbles. I popped open the top of the injector, and my fuel shut off solenoid seems to work fine. Is this a case of a pump just breaking, or am I missing something. Any help would be great. Thanks.

lift pump, IP crapped out maybe. Did it die suddenly or gradually lose power and sputter until it died?

Seems timing related. Or IP is junk.
Did it happen when it was hot? Can you get it going again?
If you can pour hot water on IP see if anything changed

Room temp water would work better for what you have in mind.
