It's a sign of a good marriage if you actually miss each other.

I know some guys whose marriages improve when they're separated.

Time apart is good for a marriage but time together is extremely valuable and precious.

There needs to be balance tween the two and it sounds like there is no balance with yer case

Whit, If we could have a balance it would be nice but she works a lot and i work a lot. And on top of that I go out to sea all the time and well some families just have to sacrifice so others can enjoy their time together. But some day we will have all the time in the world together.

I was home a grand total of 18 days last year....( I spent 4 days at doc evils house, thanks doc!) My most recent significant other called it quits on boxing day 2010.... I have not even had time to go on a "date" since then. With the amount of time I get to spend at home, I don't think its even worth starting another relationship....

Don't let yourself get into a position like mine if your already in a relationship, make the most of the time you have.

comminication is the key. Was active navy seabee when my wife of 14yrs this 14th, we had 3months together one seperated with a huricane then two weeks together then two-weeks field combat training two months together then 4months on deployment one week to buy house&move 4more months of deloyment, and then a year or so together where I seperated from the navy and thn started driving over the road. Out two three weeks home two-three days ussually while she worked LOL now the last 4 years home every day gets hard recently not to want to dissapear for a few days!!!?
