Max dose of ibuprofen a day is 3200mg. Or if you have Aleve at home, that will work as well. Take 2 of those every6-8 hours.

These items are pain relievers and also anti-inflammatory meds. .
Be careful, Alieve is not the same as advil, I have been told by NUMEROUS doctors not to mix the 2. Although they are both anti inflammatory they work against each other, and if consumed together can cause serious problems.

I like Alieve but I will only take 2 of them every 8 hours, never mixed.

I take 2 Darvocet every night, I chase it with a Popsicle, it is not that filling but it is something. You can also try chicken breast, that works pretty good.
Darvocet...bad drug! It's advantage is less nausea, but the narcotic(propoxyphene) in it has no pain relieve benefits. It's the 650mg of tylenol in each pill that does it. It does have "feel good" side effects which gives the illusion of pain relief. Bad for the kidneys in higher doses.

Too many other good meds out there. Many hospitals have banned it.

Yes, they are in the same class and you don't want to take both, just one or the other.

My body is immune to hyrochodine (vicoden) so I have to take it in order to get to sleep due to my back.

4 Advil=800mg Ibuprofen and is non narcotic. You are right it does work well.

A warning on any anti-inflammitory. They are hard on the kidneys. A few years back a doctor had me on several Ibuprofin 800's a day and it shut my kidneys down. I woke up one day and couldn't even roll out a bed. They took me to the hospital in an ambulance and when the ER doctors there took my history the look on his face when I told him about the dosage i was takin said it all. Luckilly it was caught in time that once i was off of them for a few days one kidney started functioning again. The other doesn't work but is still alive so it is still there, just along for the ride so to speak.

I was taking 3 advil every few hours when the pain first started I was a little worried because the bottle said not to exceed 6 in 24 hours but took alot more than that. I didnt think about chicken but the things that sucks about solid food like that is I pretty much have to cut it into the smallest pieces possible to be able to eat it which is getting pretty annoying.

I tried the clove oil and it lasted only about 10-15 before the pain started again. Not alot really gets rid of the pain completly other than what im on now. Oh and to top it all off I have a cold but cant take anything for it since im taking these meds .

You can also get probiotic from most any health food store that is powder similar to flour and add it to anything you want to eat to get the same good affects of it.

I take vicodin on a daily basis, 750-1000mg a day. I usually don't eat anything with it and have no problems. When I do eat, it's usually through McDonald's or Carls Jr for a breakfast sandwich.

well thats my problem if I eat im sick if I dont eat im sick. I rarely take any kind of meds unless I HAVE to, if I get a headache I just wait till it goes away on its own, I just think my body really isnt use to something like this.

hey there well good news here I am a dental assistant going on for 13 yrs.
Do you think you might be allergic to Vicodine?
I always tell my patients that make sure they take meds with food and not on an empty tummy.
Try eating soft loaf bread. If you were my patient I would tell you to get another perscription for nausea. it helps.
and maybe something for pain that works just as good but not bad for you.
Like Lortab.
If your meds allow you milk is something good to take with them.
I don't know how long you have been taking them and maybe it might be to much for your body. Just don't take anything with ibprophen in it or no tynol cause those will make you sick if take them often too.
Ughhh you poor thing. I have been thru that as well.. it really sucks...
Hope you get to feeling better and you could always call ur doc and tell them your sick and can't take them and see if they give you something for nausia and a different pain med. let me know how it goes.
I work in mouths everyday woo hoo

How about the Cola syrup over the ice chips to help with the nausea.
