I'm looking to make some extra cash on the side and I was wondering what everyone on here does to make extra cash.
it has to have a relatively low cost to start and has to make it worth my time.

I would think snow plowing would be big in your area.

You could run around getting all the plow trucks unstuck.

the problem is that I live in a rural area and most of the people are do it yourselfers. I know one person that makes a living doing landscaping and isnt making much. thats the problem
everyone has a truck or a tractor or knows someone that does so recovery is out as well. I would also have to have enough money to cover my truck if it breaks.

I just added de-icing to my plow service.

Only two of my customers requested it, but they alone, paid for the equipment.

Yep. It's a fluid much like the airports use to remove the ice from the aircraft. Although that may be -glycol.

This is a corn based product called Magic -0 (minus zero)

As a de-icer its applied prior to a storm and keeps the snow an ice from adhering to the asphalt, concrete, etc.
After the area is plowed, the fluid helps to melt the remaining snow and ice and keep it from freezing again. Less corrosive than distilled water and easy on foliage.

Works good so far. But I haven't had any real snow storms to test it in. Just ice, and it worked great.
