Default monster truck kills women

This is a sad story but like several of you have said it comes down to paying attention to your surroundings. the thing to remember is that a large majority of automobile involved incidents are the result of someone(s) not paying attention to their surroundings

Even worse is we share the roadways with people like the driver and victim everyday

most states do have lift laws, but i know most of the souther states the laws are very lax.

like here in pa you have bumper height laws. for trucks front and rear bumpers can not be higher than 30 inches to the bottom.

my ford has NO lift on it and still clears 40's, dont need a lift to go big.

and after seeign the truck, i know texas has headlight laws, which is why he has the plow lights mounted below the bumper. the upper lights should be inop. if he uses the upper lights it is illegal. but i am sure there is more wrong with the truck. going that big is pointless yes.

shame what happened to her
in georgia the "legal" lift limit on a truck that is street driven is 3'' but they dont care unless you have closer to 20" lift on it

Well if you read the article, the truck wasn't that high. 3 foot tires are only a 35. I think the whole situation was his fault but don't bash his truck. It wasn't the trucks fault. His suspension was a little too high and he looked like an absolute idiot though.

Im not sticking up for people with lifted trucks. Its sad that this happened. But i think your being a lil harsh on your statement. Yes that truck imo is to big for the road. But your comment can be said about alot of other peoples hobbies. Like that truck blowing coal down the interstate. OR why do i have to where my seat belt in my enclosed car when i dont on my motorcycle or even a helmet for that matter. Like I said I agree with that truck being to big but I dont think we should bash someones likes or dislikes. Thats like telling my 4yr old your dumb cause you like watching monster trucks on tv. just my .02

The lifted truck isn't he problem, it's the complete dumbass driving it.

I also like how the article says... "According to the police report, two of the Ford's giant tires, which appear to be at least three feet tall, rolled over McKenzie" Those tires are a hell of a lot bigger then 36's.

I read this & debated on whether to comment or not. Insanity over ruled better judgement. My truck is lifted I'm running 36" tires, we have lift laws & I'm well within the limits. We have a modified inspection that is done yearly to make sure our trucks are safe and within the laws. I've always driven lifted trucks and NO I'm not a "bigger man" I'm a woman. My former husband was killed in an accident when a guy in a stock truck plowed into the side of our truck (with 42's I might add) at 70 mph and yes alcohol was involved. I'm sorry the young lady passed away, but the truck is not at fault it was the person behind the wheel & she surely could have heard a power stroke running if she was aware of her surroundings. Go ahead & bash me for my opinion, but I do think wild bill was a little harsh with his statement.
