Your usin 1/4" steel plate on a bumper for a Ranger. Why build a perfectly good bumper and then cut holes it

never said the bumper was 1/4 inch, the sheet steel i used on the bumper was 1/8, all my bars was 1/8th 2x2 square stock, i had too for cooling, it would get hot driving down the freeway so i had to cut holes......weighed about 70 pounds if that when i was partially done.....

i was going to cut it off at the angled braces and 45* it down to where the skid late and the lower cross bar met, i used the stock mounts for the time being, i should of cut them off and flipped them around so the bumper wouldnt move so much in the stock mounting holes, it would of locked against the frame, i dont have any pics of the ranger with it on unfortunately, i will be building another identical but better one to it once i get the ranger down here and get it lifted...

I used to do that with my old Blazer. Pulled the top, the doors and tailgate off and run around like that all summer. That way at least I knew there were a few parts I would'nt screw up.
