The fibreglass ones melt with heat producing a very solid connection. But I could always buy a soddering gun and so on. I'm looking for the braided stuff as per the link in this post. The newmark link also looks like what I want.

 

Thats not exactly the stuff I had in mind....you are looking for the nylon braid...
