well lets ask what everyone thinks is fair then, the cluster that was yours does me no good though other than the casing maybe if mine still work, i thought the gages worked but i found out that once things start warming up they all peg over, doesn't read right. but its ok, i will figure out the wiring somehow . as for the yoke, what do you think is fair to do about it.

and honestly if you were actually trying you would have been throwing out ideas to clear things up!

I only have one question here. What would you want to see happen if you were on the other side of this situation and you were still missing parts that you had paid for.

Maybe once that question is answered, some middle ground might be found to agree on.

If it were me, which obviously it is not.

The fair thing to be done is to compensate the OP for all out of the money he is out of pocket as a result of missing or broken parts that were represented to be in working order as well as the extra shipping he had to pay.

If he was expecting no out of pocket, that is where he needs to be now. Anything else is not fair business.

and as for out of pocket expenses for things that were traded as good was a kickdown for 35.00 plus 9.00 shipping, my shipping to get the yoke to him 3rd day ups was 33.00 shipping for the yoke from cummins97 was 13.00 plus the brackets that are missing off of the tranny for the kickdown i dunno havn't found any yet trying to rig something up right now so i don't know if anything out of pocket for that.
not to mention that the trans was advertised in good working order but has a cracked case it two places from bellhousing to valve body area so its junk.

but in all fairness the bellhousing bolts were lost somewhere while in transit to him. but if you count all that the steering coulumn i got from him the trans rolled onto it and busted all the plastics so had to get them from a salvage yard, and the shift know with overdrive button was busted off too. but i just ignored that stuff because things happen in shipping and they would have come out a wash if we tried to pay each other for them

ok for all yaw it was a even trade my workin transmission for his and all odds and ends to compensate. everything i got was good other then me havin to buy a key and bell housing bolts which i had no problem with at all it happens. we didnt trade yokes we didnt think we needed to. so after we found that out he said he found a yoke for 57 dollars but turned out to be for another truck so that was a no go so i had a guy down at the shop send out the yoke well he broke the kickdown cable when he pulled it and threw it away before tony ever mentioned a kickdown. well it didnt get shipped out that night nor next or any that week idk y i went back got the [package and money. so i finally went to office depot at 830 and bought a box and they put the yoke and cluster in and i know it was in there when i said is the yoke under the cluster and they didnt know wat i was talkin about so i did it myself and paid for shipping and it sent out the next mornin and i gave him the shippin number that night and told him they said somethin about not being good till the package got there. then onev day im at work paintin a hood on a car and get a text well when i got done i checked it and tony had said i got a busted cluster and no yoke i didnt know wat to think me knowin i sent both and it gettin to him damged. i just turned 19 so im not a pro on shippin or know as much as alot of yaw on how to do things so i asked wat did i need to do he said wat do u think is fair i said i have no idea but im gonna make it right whichever way i can but as far as shippin i paid for mine he paid for his and im not sayin he was all right and i was all right nor sayin we were both wrong but it is wrong that it happened like this and id be more then glad to help him out anyway i can

if need be i will post one of the original pms with us talking about all that needed to be swapped saying that i needed the kickdown, i still have the pm's regarding this deal in case something like this happened! and i don't think i should be resonsible for paying shipping of parts i didn't recieve and were damaged! it still stands that i am out about $90-$100 for all this.

I would send it paypal, that way you have a tracking number to prove that you sent it.

Protect everyone.
