weird, are they texting you back at the google voice number? The names sometimes don't load in GV, and its all IP so if your internet connection is crap it will be slow and crappy.

I just got it so I haven't even given anyone my real number. I think I have it so verizon doesn't n notice but no names

At this rate I might just buy a texting plan. If I go down to his name and try to text it will give me some message failed to send thing

$35 a month for "unlimited" data. its actually got a 4 or 8 gig cap but you never hit it. and even when you do i think you just get a warning. Even tethering occasionally you don't really have a problem.

Price depends on your package. My Unlimited data package is $29.99 per month on top of the normal phone price. Verizon doesn't have a limit on these package. I have a friend that has used over 50gig in one month with no added price or warning.

The Wireless Tether program is badazz.

If you are a new coming verizon customer, deals can be had on the internet for very cheap. Verizon has specials and deal of the day specials on there site. I lucked out cause I was with Alltel when Verizon took over so I'm still on the Alltel plan that is cheaper than any other family smartphone plan.
