Check the forums because I know there are people that have rooted the EVO.

 

luke, im running EE 3.0 on my rooted eris, overclocked to 710....see you on androidplanet....how does tazz and the smash roms compare, have them on my sdcard but i am happy with EE right now, might have to overclock it a little more

 

hmmm well I looked at the droids and want the droid X and a plan was 80.00 month dont ask me what all comes with it but it is the bigger plan so now all I have to do is wait........

 

I'm running Bugless Beast 0.4, which is 2.2 Froyo. Got Adobe Flash going. Been bug free pretty far.

It's running on a stock but modified theme, overclocked to 800mhz, pretty great ROM so far.

Just an update, been playing around with some things... kept Bugless Beast 0.4 as the ROM... (super speed... comes stock clocked to 800mhz for the DROID).

Installed chevno1's froyo #3 kernel... overclocks to 1.1ghz with low voltage.

Works GREAT, as well as smokedglass theme for BB, it's running super smooth... I'll let you know tomorrow about battery life.

 

I checked out the Droid X but its just to bulky. I did however like the Droid 2.

 

2.2 showed up on my phone this morning, guess I'll see how things go today.

 

Verizon started rolling out 2.2 around August 11th I think. If you have rooted and have SPRecovery, it blocks the update.

is it automaticly updated
and how do i know if my phone is updated?

never mind,i think it did the update a few minutes ago.It looks a liitle different on the home screen.

 

Ya I am running Cyanogen Tazz V8 on my Eris at the moment. It is a 2.2 Froyo ROM. I'm currently OC to 710. Seems anything over that on the Eris and your just wasting battery power.

 

Shattered the screen on my Droid today and there isnt a Verizon store in all of Alaska
