People who generalize and hate on all kids. Yes, a lot of us do deserve it. But there are some truly remarkable ones out there. I'm not remarkable, buy I'd like to atleast think I am a little better than average. I think that most kids on this site are more closer to the rare "still raised right, worked hard, and ain't takin' daddy's money" type. I havn't seen a kid with a daddy's money mobile on here yet (i'm sure they are there). Also people give me sh** about having a powerstroke and automatically assume it's my dad's money. I've been saving up since I was 9 to get a powerstroke, and damnit it's all mine.
Also most kids my age grind my gears. I'm relatively smart and got a scholarship to a private school, and I can't stand none of em. They all make fun of me cause I work at a diesel shop after school and that stuff. They never work, and there parents buy them everything. Most of my friends are in the 20-50 year old age bracket, and I'm proud of that and feel like it does me good. But at the same time, you can't hate every kid before actually talking to him/her and seeing how he/she acts/views themselves. at 15 I've been all the way inside powerstrokes, yet I still crave to learn more, ask questions, and get advice than gloat my knowledge (that is mostly of stock vehicles, anyways)

I hear ya man.I was landscaping at age 12, working at a Lube shop at 15, and mowing grass in the summer. Half the kids and friends I went to school with drove nice clean cars, me I drove the loudest, muddiest, pickup.hell I got in trouble for leaving a bunch of mud in my parking spot after it rained..but it does make me sick when I see a jacked up diesel with some young kid in it because 9/10 times mommy and daddy bought it.

Ehh hell this threads moved away from grinding gears..

Im 18 too, but i dont act like a rich snob and listen to bubblegum pop music haha!

I also worked my *** off to pay for this truck.

But back on topic.

You know what really grinds my gears?

People asking me why my truck doesnt smoke.
Also stacks on a gasoline as mentioned before (guy here has a lowered chevy silverado 1500 with dual 8" turnouts sticking at least 2 feet above the cab and it has 20" spinners and low profiles) (did i mention i live in the mountains of eastern kentucky? I think this guys a little out of place!)

Lazy people receiving disability checks yet going fishing daily and tearing up the road on their harleys (my neighbor)

i have a buddy who has a diesel, he loves smoke, his parents bought it. he was complaining one day and said, this is total BS. my mom won't fill up my truck. really? oh poor you. it must be so rough having everything handed to you. i'm 21, my first diesel was a 96 OBS and i was 17. i payed for fuel and everything else on my own. i don't know what's wrong with most of todays generation. farming- i don't know you that well but you seem like a pretty good kid. even tho you were born in 1997... LOL
