Good luck with your new job. I've worked nights for about the last 11 years. It's not for everybody, but the money has always been a lot better, and there is usually less politics and BS to put up with. Not to mention I don't have to play the dog and pony show when we have high profile customers in the shop. It takes some getting used to, but it is kind of nice being able to go take care of business around town during the day. Working as many hours as I normally do, I wouldn't be able to do something as simple as go to a doctor's appointment without taking off work if I was on days.
Once you get used to it, it's not so bad. Both have their good and bad points.

But really, yeah, it can be scary. Moving to a new city and taking a new full time job are two scary things, both have so many uncertianties surrounding them, and it can be hard to adjust to.
The first day on the job can be pretty nerve wracking, especially when you've got whack hours like that. Good luck.
