The last fence I did I used them, didn't end up with a single stripped head.

There's two reasons Americans don't use Robertson Head Screws. 1) P.L. Roberston refused to issue a license to anyone to manufacture his screws after being screwed (haha) in the UK like 80 years ago, and 2) it's the same reason America won't switch to the Metric system, which is also far superior... And I'm not just saying that, it actually is. In engineering, things are FAR simpler when making calculations in Metric than in Imperial. The Imperial system has no logic to it, it's not simple, and all of the values are stupid numbers. Metric is so simple, and most of the modern world has switched to it because of this.

"We" may not be metric, but our military is. 5.56mm, 9mm, 25mm, 40mm, 105mm, 5 "klicks" kms, etc.
