I have always changed my own on all my trucks. I changed oil for about 3 yrs at a full-service carwash/lube center/detail shop and after seeing how many things that other lube centers screwed up, I will never let anyone else change my oil.

Change mine, also. Idiots don't understand the concept of using synthetic! AMSOIL Not much difference in price anymore. Just don't need to do it as often, so think it's cheaper in the long run...

I have a shop I trust to do it, and they let me bring Amsoil and a filter, and charge me like $10 to do it... My time is worth a lot more than $10 to me, so I let them do it. Between finding a place to dump the used oil and filter, and doing it on my back in my driveway, its just not worth it for me to do it myself when I can get it done for $10.

I am 17 and i have been changing oil since i was 8 for every thing from tractors too my Cummins and lots of people come to me too have their oil changed because they don't trust the people at those quick stop places. They just break to much stuff. Plus like some of the guys say you have to show these idiots how to start it how to shift and the hole nine yards.

Depends if I'm busy or not. I can make way more in an hour than it cost to pay one of my employees to do it, so If I'm busy they do it. I don't mind doing it but it's such a simple task I don't feel like I have to be in control of it, besides that I don't tend to keep trucks long enough for it to matter if it's done "right" or not.

Oh yeah, Rotella in everything also. Five trucks, and one waiting to get finished (the Fodge).
