Default Fire Extinguishers

This is why I carry 2 2.5 lbs under the drivers seat of my truck! They are Dry Chemical rated for A B and C I wanted to cover each base on the truck and for the possible runaway condition as well..... I was always debating on getting a bigger one for the tool box of my truck but if I can't do it with 2 2.5's its pretty much game over I'm assuming. Curious as to who all has them in there truck. Hopefully none of us ever have to use them!

I was leaving a bank one day and I see this guy sitting in his car listening to the radio and I could tell something wasnt right it was smoking but it wasnt your normal overheating smoke and I told the guy hey man your cars on fire, he said nahh its just hot, no man your cars on fire, he pulled the hood release and jumped out, I told him dont open it it will just spread faster, I said you got a fire extinguisher, no so I ran in the bank asked If I could use one of their's, sure, I guess as soon as I left to go in the bank the dude decides to open the hood when I came out we had one partially involved caddy with 22 inch rims burning to the ground. Dudes yelling hurry up my car my car, I used the extinguisher but no help. That Caddy burnt smooth up and the guy is just sitting in the grass crying my car my car. I walked by him as I was walking to my truck and said told ya not to open the hood. About that time the FD rolled up and put it out.

Ha yea I had that happen in my ol 2000 Ram, some smoke started to come outa the cd player of my truck! I was tearing the dash apart at 70 while jackin the brakes to pull over! Kinda exciting to say the least.... I had the radio yanked outa the dash in about a mins time unhooked and in the bed of the truck still smokin. Luckily thats all that was smokin at the moment, thats what prompted the whole adding the fire extinguisher to the truck thing.

Quite a while back, a couple buddies of mine pulled me over in a parking lot to help em get a POS 6.9 Ford diesel started. I jumped in the cab to run the key while I cranked on it. Next thing I see are flames coming out of the intake. Lucky there was snow on the ground to smother the flame.

Did that seem just a little bit staged to anyone eles? While I have never been in a car that caught on fire, I don't think my first thought would be, "Hey, let's tape this... We can set it to music and put it on You Tube!"
