I think they're cool. There is a lil' diesel one that fuels up where I do, it sounds like a Power Joke pulling up... have to smile every time. They say they're safer than a F-150, not that that is sayin' much.

I saw something on the news where there were several big insurance companies that were refusing to insure the SMART car like they would any other car on the road. You couldn't get anywhere near the coverage and some wouldn't cover it at all.

local wreck with 2 f-150's. quick break down. silver truck ran off road, over corrected into the path of the green truck that was towing a boat. 2 people in the green truck both survived, 1 in silver truck he survived. happened at 55-65mph.

i posted those to kind of make a point. a smart car hitting that wall at 70mph is like a head on at 35 in both vehicles. to re-create this with the smart car it would have to do atleast 110-120mph and hit that barier. look at the firewall where yer feet would be at in the smart car at 70mph and imagine it at 40mph faster. i doubt the driver would walk away, let alone survive like these drivers did. now that dude didn't know what he was talking about saying his car was safer than an f-150

smart car only weighs like 1000 lbs if that. thats a whole lot less energy but theres no room for that energy to go on a smart car

That video is interesting, but nauseating... to look at the demolished space where people would be...

I didn't say I had one. I didn't right the article in the magazine that said they were safer than a F-150.
