My son in law went there for 2 weeks last winter.......he said there was polar bears everywhere ..........it was a plant of Conocophillips and they struggle keepin em out of there.............everything is covered in expanded metal except where you run from yer truck to the gate......he also said the bears mess with the gates all the time but they have a tricky double latch system

 

Make sure all your winter outerwear is FR rated...balaclavas and such all need to be FR now as well...Doing work for BP in SK right now and they have banned hoodies because guys wear the hoods up under their hardhats and BP has deemed that this is no longer allowed since it interferes with the fall protection rating of the headgear, but balaclavas are still allowed-go figure!

Pretty sure most of my gear is FR, but me & boss had a chat earlier tonight and it sounds like whatever I need will be purchased for me before I go up, or should I say I'll purchase it and get paid back within 72 hours.

Time to go find the most expensive stuff.

 

If they pay for it, get NomexIII all around. It is the most expensive and definately lasts the longest!!
