I've used a pump hoist rig truck to pull a motor, and lift a cab, the only down side is that you really have to plan your movements, as the rig only has about a 10 x 10 swing area and will lift the whole truck if you forget 1 bolt...

 

How I got my Dana 60.

Pulled 5 engines and transmissions, plus my axles that day in 3 hours (had a long lunch) only managed to light one truck on fire while it was on it's side. And wouldn't you know it, it was the only one that I had left the back window in so it got kicked out.


P.S. Why do the thieves always target the sliders in the old Fords, it takes less time to just pull the whole fricken window.
