Default Why can't the automotive world do this?

CV shaft, 07 Honda Rubicon

Can be easily disassembled at inner joint with common hand tools...
Why can't the automotive world make them like this at both ends, keep the shafts and just replace the joints.

How could they make any money off you when your not buying new assemblies instead of rebuild kits......

They can be rebuilt if you know what you're doing, most of the ones parts stores sell are rebuilt.

yea but the grind em out and weld em back in, so its a pain for us to rebuild em, plus where do you buy the rebuild kit for the other side...
