Here's an idea......run your truck legal.

I agree they can try, but darn it feels good to whip into the scales knowing your stuff is all up to par....let em look if they want...If they do find something, then get it fixed....way better than to try and run the scale and get caught, then they REALLY look!!

If DOT wants ya they got ya. Just smile and nod your head, I call it my doggy in the window routine. If they decide they don't like your looks they just interperet the rule a little different. Don't matter your gonna be on the other end of the country on the court date anyway. Damn I'm glad I quite drivin. Now I just mess with it at harvest time. Then you get the pleasure of the portable scales. I know I'm busted every time I see em. With the price of fuel, we load these trucks to the gills on the way to the bins.

License plate lights are a classic one for fix-it tickets.

Yep, the portable scales suck, I almost got caught by one last fall in the tractor and grain cart. Single axle 875 bushel cart that filled the semi so it had about 1000 bushels in it, I'm glad I looked down the road before I got on it.

I have never had a problem at the scales that shows you how much I drive, but they did nail me in our dually once.
