ok apperantly no one really deals with car audio in my area anymore. there is one place but i have been there on four diffenrnt days now and they have been closed when the hours say they are open, so the hell with them, i need some info on head units too, this is more important then the sub, for obvious reasons, what brands are "junk" and what should i be looking for. i was kinda thinking on going with one of those in dash dvd player set up's. i think that might come in handy when i have to go "food shopping" with the wife.

Alpines are really nice decks. I usually wind up with pioneers since they seem to be the ones that go on sale.
Personally my favorite deck was my blaupunkt that got fried when my voltage regulator died. Along with all the lamps in the truck and 2 yellow tops. Check blaupunkt out. Really fair prices and the SQ was really there.

If you get an amp with a bass control **** you can turn the subs up and down with no problem so if someone is sittin on them you can change it to their liking but if you get any other type of box itll be in the way of passengers and you run the chance with kids collapsing the sub..know from expiernce..

nah, i like my factory console. i am not really into changing the interior all around, but thanks for the thought. the box i got is completly sealed, there is no chance for the boy putting a foot in it. but it does take up the whole area behind the console, but for a hundred bucks i couldn't complaine. now i just gotta figure out how to get it in my standerd cab chevy when i upgrade the dodge

fyi for future searches.

probox used to make a box for a single 12 that went under the rear seat.

might find one on CL or ebay.

other products from them:
