Does the short shifter kit actually help these things? This thing sucks. Just did the tranny with new synchros so thats not the problem. And it sucked before i rebuilt it to. A little posi additive helped, but not much.

 

What is the problem you are experiencing?


The short shift is a must have IMO. I don't think you will be disappointed at all.

 

Just seems to be really clunky, hard to downshift, hard to find 5th when youre in a hurry. My dad builds standards for a living, so the trans is good. I know its not going to shift like a car, but it has to be better than this. I think ill give it a shot. Who makes the best kit? Or is it only BD?

 

Far as I know BD is the only one I have seen make them. It really makes it fun shifting again with the short shifter.

 

I have only driven one with a short throw shifter. It is definitely noticeably shorter, and fun as well. But I personally would just put the money into something else.... Like fuel
