Default Extra fuel pump?

My truck has a hot rod vp44, 125hp injectors, and a raptor 150 lift pump at the motor. Do i need an extra pump at the tank, or is that overkill? Im asking, because my dad has a 99 that he bought new. He did a lot of mods when it was new and there werent that many parts available. He runs a holley pump at the tank to a stock lift and inj. pump. his truck has 125hp injectors, edge comp, and a big turbo pushing 60+ lbs of boost.

You shouldn't if you have proper fuel pressure. With a raptor 150 on the frame pulling from the tank and pushing to the injection pump you shouldn't see any problems. That being if you have proper fuel pressure

Yes you should. If you just put it on with no gauge you could even be supplying to much pressure and be damaging your ip. Out of the box my raptor said it was preset at 15 psi but once I started the truck and verified pressure by my gauge it was running at 23. Same with my airdog I set it how the instructions stated to start off with what they say "pretty close to 15" and once I started it was pushing 25.
