Shifting the nv5600
 

Does the short shifter kit actually help these things? This thing sucks. Just did the tranny with new synchros so thats not the problem. And it sucked before i rebuilt it to. A little posi additive helped, but not much.

What is the problem you are experiencing?


The short shift is a must have IMO. I don't think you will be disappointed at all. :tu:

Just seems to be really clunky, hard to downshift, hard to find 5th when youre in a hurry. My dad builds standards for a living, so the trans is good. I know its not going to shift like a car, but it has to be better than this. I think ill give it a shot. Who makes the best kit? Or is it only BD?

Far as I know BD is the only one I have seen make them. It really makes it fun shifting again with the short shifter. :c:

I have only driven one with a short throw shifter. It is definitely noticeably shorter, and fun as well. But I personally would just put the money into something else.... Like fuel :argh:
