any axle from 1980-1997 will fit in with minor changes( yolks). if you have a f350, you will have a full floater. but yes the 92 axle will be the same if both are SRW.

thanks.....what about dual wheel?.....the guy that i am buying it from said that he bought a rearend from an 87 and it was 4" narrower than the 94......he said that the original problem with the rearend was that the pinion gear was broken.....he assured me that this was the only issue with the rearend but im gonna have to travel 180 miles to go get it and may have to drive it back.....hince ..the reason for wanting to purchase a diff. rearend im not sure of what other damage could have been caused by the broken metal inside the case

why not get a yard rear? normally only go for 100-200 bucks. sterlings are cheap.

there are three different axles used, sterling 10.25 SRW, sterling 10.25 DRW and cab and chassis axle. you need to use what came outa your turck. the cab and chassis axle will only work in a cab and chassis.

good idea.....thanks.....i was just alittle worried about the rest of the parts inside the housing...but a friend thats works at a local ford dealership told me today that he has a couple of pinion gears and 10.25 ring gears...pick them up pretty cheap prob. around $50 bucks......i may have to go that route
