vp44 cam ring?

does anybody know if you can switch the vp44 cam ring/drum without changing the parameters in the vp44 computer

my thoughts were to have it machined....just wasnt sure if it had to be reprogrammed after changing it out...even if i used a H.O. one

I'd think for the price of the machining and labor to R&R the ring, a Hot Rod, Lightning, or Monster pump could be purchased.

yeah i think i can have it done for around $100...before i spent the money on a vp44 i would just p-pump it....i actually can purchase a whole complete 12 valve for 1k
