Default worth it?

heres the low down...i bought my 06 from a dealer. it has an ejwa already in it and did when i bought it. the module was unplugged because the dealer said it couldnt be plugged in while on the lot. ok so i got the truck home and decided to plug in the juice. plugged it in and started the truck. drove to the gas station to get diesel...on the way there it spit and sputtered and i figured it was outta diesel bc the light was on and i just got it and did not know how much room i had before getting to the station. well i filled up, went to start the truck and it would not start. so i unplugged the juice and it started. so i just called edge and told them the issue and they said it could be either the harness or the module. it will be 99 dollars for a service fee and up to 175 for replacement parts if needed. so is it worth it? i want to get an sct so i could sell the ejwa and get one but will i recoup the money?

You can buy a used X-cal2 for $175 or under sometimes... can't see spending the money on the Edge if that's the case....

Yea ive seen them pretty cheap. But ive had my sights set on a live wire or a tsx even before i bought my truck. What do you think about spartan mdub? Havent heard much about them on anything but the 6.4s...

Exactly, they're 6.4 guys. 6.0 has enough of a following and multiple GOOD tuners to choose from. Spartan is not one of them IMO. They're just too busy with the 6.4 stuff and probably 6.7 stuff now.

Livewires are pretty nice. All your preference. I would find it hard to spend almost $200 just to fix something you plan on selling anyways.

I mean if you really have NOTHING in to it, then as long as you can get money back out of it... best thing you can do now is search around and see what used ones are going for. You can always try listing it on craigslist or the forums as is, it is free to do so you have nothing to lose.

haha there you go. Just try selling it as is, if you don't get any decent offers, fix it up and resell it. If it was only $40 to fix I'd say go for it, but with the potential of it being $175... that's a tough one to swallow.
