I love the trucks. Yea they do have the injector issues but in overall the trucks are awesome in my opinion. I cant really say if the price is right but it doesnt sound to bad. Im horrible at pricing things and what not.

lb7's are strong eng's. the prob is the injectors. my call on it is, see if it has had the injectors done yet. if it has find out when. usually they are good for 100k or so, but be careful. as you probably know, injectors are a bear to purchase and install. when i was in the market for my LLY i looked at how much it would cost to determine which injectors are bad, how much it would cost to replace them and the amount of down time on the truck. it ended up being close to $2500 and a down time of close to 3 day if not longer. i opt'd to go for the 04.5 LLY instead. it will be alittle more pricey in the begining but well worth it in the end. LLY's dont have near the injector problems though it has happened. but not as often. as for 12k, if ur serious about it offer the guy 10k and see where it leads. test drive it, be detailed on your inspection of it, and i noticed ur in ohio, im from columbus, the weather there sucks. unless the guy kept it garaged, there will be rust. so take that into consideration as well. especially up there in mentor, ya'll are in the snow belt and 3 or more months out of the year its snowing and 3 or more months out of the year its raining. LOL like i said, i would go for the LLY or LBZ. but thats just me. I haven't had any major probs with my LLY, LOL nothing i couldn't fix for less than $100 bucks.

also, the DMAX, LB7, LLY, LBZ and up, all are good for over a million miles if maintained properly. i have 170K on mine and i wont hesitate to jump in it and make the trip from texas to ohio for leave. which brings up another point. does the guy have to maintenance records of the truck. it would be one thing to ask 12k if he has proof that he changed the oil every 5k and all the other filters anf fluids on their regularly scheduled times. but if he can't prove it, use it against him. But im an ******* when it comes to buying a new(to me) vehical. my truck was 18k at a dealer and by the time i was done i had them down to 15k. so its just a matter of bartering and knowing your stuff. look up all the posible probs with the LB7 and then lay it on to him.
