Hmmm doesn't sound like a bad deal to me. 5k for a 96 with 200k on it isn't bad. and it has the 215hp version, the most powerful 12v made. get some pics up!

You can get close to 150hp (I think) or so in about an hour or two with $0 invested, but you'll definately want an EGT gauge, and a better clutch wouldn't hurt, but you can wait on the clutch for a little while. Check these threads out.

one word of advice...look for power, not smoke! you will find that smoke will come with power but dont look for it by itself... good luck with the truck

i will get power down the road just for now though i dont have a crap load of money for power so smoke would be fun i dont start my career job till april right now i work at a carwash for 8 bucks an hour so not alot of extra money to make power my other job is 15 an hour so then will come parts for power right now i just want something to with those little rice burners

yea it takes a while...im just tryin to give you a heads up that if you come here looking for only smoke your gonna get hammered on by the other guys in the forum. there are some mods you can do for nothing that will add some power. post in the 12v cummins section and remember not to emphasize on the smoke...a little is fun now and then but alot is a bad thing.

^x2. Wow. Your gonna spend as much money trying to "smoke out ricers", as you would just getting the appropriate performance mods on a 12v.

you can just turn your pump up and move your fuel plate and crate smoke
