I have a friend that just bout a 7.3 and the only thing i no is that its older then a 99 i was wondering if the early 90's had computers and if he can chip it? and any other things he can do to het more hp? i just dont no enough about powerstrokes and the history of them cuz i own a cummins.

If it's a powerstroke then it has a computer and he can chip it. lift the hood if it does not have a mechanical IP right on top at the front of the valley then it's a PowerStroke, If it has one then it's an IDI.

 

Also look in the cab, in my 95 the OBD2 port is under the dash by passenger side. hope it helps
