My allison tranny started doing a real hard delayed shift to reverse and it almost over heated on my way to work today i shut it down before it hit the red on the temp gauge. My buddy at hughes performance said the over heating problem might be the tourqe converter im here to get some more thoughts on the matter or if any body else has had this problem.The truck has a airaid cold air intake 4inch exhaust BD power full bore left bank manifold.

 

a solenoid went out tranny got hot fried it so i got a new beefed up ally

 

Did it throw any codes?
