First off as i stated in the title diesel is like a foreign language to me. I have been a household garage mechanic since I could pick up a wrench. But never did I ever work on a diesel. In my research I have been doing on the site and others here and there I see every vehicle has its own problems just like everything else in life, but are most of the problems caused by beating the sh#$ out of them or just daily driving? I want a diesel for power and mileage mainly daily driver with a little towing very little off roading but it may just happen on occasion but primarily back and forth to work expressway driving! Mods will be done but basically to increase the mileage and power. I am thinking something less then 10 years but not ruling out something older with low miles but thinking newer in a cummins or a powerstroke.

there just like anything else mechanical depends on how hard you run them and how well there maintaned good luck with finding what your looking for
