i found a 90 Dodge 250 with 160000 on the clock. its a non ic motor and dont look like theres any leaks on the top of the engine. itsa 5 speed and 4x4. the bed is rotted out but the guy dont know what its worth and i honestly aint sure either. he said the tranny pops out of gear in 2nd and 5th goin down the road i was thinkin the syncros were bad but i aint to sure any help would be great

the biggest reason i want it is the whole 5 speed thing if it wasnt for that i wouldnt think bout it

 

id give him 1000 for it

 

start cheap 500-1000 and see where he stands, it all depends on how bad you want it, and how cheap you can fix it. if he wants it gone, you could try, and he says no, then wait a couple of weeks and call him back, he might just change his tune

 

he has a dirty max and loves it so he dont really need this one. i bought a 91 for 1500 with an auto but i didnt tell him that he said he would give me a call this week when he came up with a price

i have another bed to put on it the biggest reason i want it is for the 5speed

 

blue book website says, in FAIR CONDITION, that its worth 2800. that is a BONE STOCK 8 ft bed 4 wheel drive, 5 spd, standerd cab. they don't give out quotes on poor settings, and it sounds poor to me. not saying its a bad deal, just poor in my standerds, is, would you let your girl climb in and take her out in her best clothing to a nice place. and a rotted bed, with a trans that pops out, isn't a great ride to roll in, but this truck could be a diamond in the rough, just needs some tlc. like i said i would call him up and offer 750 and so, and see where he goes with it. he might just take it, maybe he has someone naggin him in the house, if you know what i mean.............

yea well thats my whole idea i want to get some little stuff fixed on my 99 like the cab corners and rockers and stuff and get it re-painted cause the first paint job aint so nice and keep it for good so the little lady has somethin nice to roll in and i can get this other un for a daily driver like i said i got another bed for it it would basically be a work beater so i can keep my nicer one for good purposes
