Default SCT 9600 LIVEWIRE Problem

I just received my new SCT LIVEWIRE tuner , it says on it to update prior to flashing my vehicle . The problem I'm having is that I can't get my computer to recognize the tuner . Has anyone else had this problem ; if so is there an easy fix short of buying a new computer ?

Is there any drivers or anything you need to download from the SCT website?

Getting my Edge to work with my wife's PC was a bit of a pain in the sack.

YEa..sounds like a driver issue. Are you using custom tunes with that SCT?

Sct is telling me that I have to manually install the drivers . I've tried that with no avail . Right now I have just installed the canned 50 H.P. tune . It's working O.K. , however I would like to be able to get some tunes from Eric , but I don't think I can load them until I can get this old P.O.S. computer to recognize the SCT tuner . Oh well thanks . I'll keep trying.

yes , it just doesn't see the firmware and drivers from SCT . Therefore it doesn't recgonize the tuner .
