Hey guys, my knee has been acting up a lot lately and I've been toying with the idea of swapping my Nv5600 with triple disk clutch to a 48re setup. I kinda know the things that need to be swapped like the transfer cases and drive shafts and all that. I've done a lot of searching and can't find many people that's done this swap as most go from the auto to a manual. I was looking to get some advice from people that's done the swap or even just some input.

I'm trying to locate someone nearby with a ccsb truck like mine so that I won't have to buy any parts and just swap everything over, but would it be cheaper or easier to pickup a used trans and use a stand alone controller and floor mounted shifter? I can get a trans from a wrecked truck for about $1000. Any suggestions?

Man its gonna be hard to find someone to trade now. My trans **** the bed yesterday for the 5th time in 60k. So it looks like im just gonna save a little cash and buy one.
