Filter Delete
has anyone ever thought of just deleting the factory fuel filter i have a nicktane fuel filter so i have that covered i was thinking of putting a distribution block and a brake bleeder screw on the top so that i could just use a vacuum pump to bleed the system after a filter change. oh and for the reason in my idea of doing this is that my priming pump is leaking and i am losing fuel from it so instead of replacing it i was thinking of going this route what do you guys think
im sure theres a way, just bypass it with a hose and disconnect the power to the pump. also it be much easier to do a FP tap too with a longer hose

and as far as priming the system start, die, start, run

I would leave it on. Its an added layer of protection in addition to your Nicktane and since you have that installed it will just about double your factory filter life. If you get a lift pump system you'll never worry about hand priming again.
well i have had it off for some time now its been working fine i just used a brake bleeder valve and when i need to change out my filter i will just use a vacuum bump like you could use to bleed your brakes and prime the filter. didn't want to replace the entire assemble because of the cost so for now i just change my filters a little sooner to be safe
Heck if you out of the warranty I would do it. What do those assembles cost like $300? I've had my cat filter on for over 30K now and haven't changed it I see no need to change it early. Filters plug up they don't just stop filtering when they're full.
ya its been working fine i am waiting right now to change my cat filter because my pump went out on me but they are suppose to get back with me tomorrow if its going to be warrantied or not then i will change it but its still going strong
