Guy's/Gal's I'm thinking of buying a 1989 f-350 with a 5 speed and a rebuilt 7.3. No turbo. It has new injectors and the truck is in pretty exelent shape for the year. Plus I'm getting it for 1500.00. I'm buying this to pull cattle a few houndred miles once a year and run around the farm in. This will be my first diesel. Just like everything else I get, the first thing I do is start wanting to throw some upgrades on it. What are a few things that can and should be done to the truck to get better fuel mileage and keep up with the times so to say. The truck runs pretty darn strong. It doesn't leak a drop of oil. It has a k&n air filter but thats it. Its pretty much stock. The guy I'm getting it from said he gets about 15 mpg. Should I look into a turbo for it? Is that pretty much avrg? Any advise will be great. Thank's!!!
