on my 89 f350 with the 7.3l diesel iam not sure if my turbo is working..iam not able to hear it whistle at all and i cant seem to hear or feel it kicking in..what are some things i can look at?? im not to familar with turbos yet iam still learnig so just was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or if i could get any suggestions on what to check on it would be great!!

 

pull the fresh air inlet off the turbos and report back to me with the following....

push and pull - fore and aft loosness

up and down - shaft play

let me know what u find ..... also check it while its for running with the inlet off
