There is currently a person selling a 92 7.3 IDI with a sidewinder turbo for $700 and it needs a new transmission, my question is will a C6 that was paired up with a 84 302 work with it? and if it does, then how much of a hassle would it be to connect them

 

It would be a real bitc........ you will have to use one specifically for the diesel ...... other wise its a pain . .

 

I didn't think it would work, but just curious since the body on this one is great compared to my current DD and I had a c6 lying around with 0 miles on it since rebuild last year, just been sitting with a rebuilt 302 not going anywhere

 

I hear ya ..... no od with the c6 ..... can get a diesel case and swap parts back and fourth ....

 

In that case, I'd rather just go to the local picknpull and ****** up a tranny from one of the 7.3's up there
