So, I'm replacing a few parts in my truck since I just bought it about 2 months ago and I found out that my tranny has a big ole hole in it. It's on the top left(driver side) corner, but the truck runs fine and i've been driving it like that uphills with a trailer loaded up. So I'm going to replace it before it breaks and causes more damage, my question is which year truck can I pull one off of and rebuilt it. I saw rebuild kits go from $150-250 roughly not including torque converter. Has anyone rebuild one and was it hard to do?
My truck is a 93 f-250 7.3 idi 4x4
