Incorrect. You were getting ULSD from equipment not certified for ULSD yet.

Wrong, its extremely good for everyone! Sulfur is a huge source of pollution, less pollution from farmers is less pollution on your food.

both of the above qoutes show that you have very little knowledge of the real world around you. First all red diesel in texas till 2007 was lsd.

Second ulsd has been a disater to farmers because most i know are running tractors that are 10-20yrs old and this diesel has caused so many fuel related problems. Also the pollution in your food is not coming from farmers is coming from the need to produce more product on less acres with less input cost to feed and the ingrateful city people by use of chemical fertilizers and other materials

Around here the highway patrol is cracking down and pulling over anything diesel powered to check the fuel. They have also gone a step further,on top of dipping your tank they will also pull the fuel filter and get a fuel sample. With the way the economy is going they are trying to get revenue anyway they can.:td:

When I've seen em do this, they just open the water drain and get a sample.

They have been pulling people over around home for red questionability for awhile. One of my aunts friends got pulled over and they cut his fuel filter to check. Didnt reimburse him and told him that they can and will test his filter every day on his truck. I believe it was a state officer and the BS of it was he just topped off to go pull a load for a friend. He also got ticketed for incorrect tags on their tanks and probably would have got two more tickets if they would have checked the grain trucks in the barn. I dont disrespect the law but when they kick farmers for running red its a bunch of crap. Now if someone who is not a farmer used it I believe it is completely different. Maybe thats just because I live in the midwest and everyone farms except in the cities.

I also dont know if this cop had previous conflicts with the farmer or not. Even then there is no reason to be a complete jerk about ticketing them. That is just another reason I dont like cops. Sorry rant over.

That is my problem with it. and i know many farmers who can not afford to buy new tractors or have theirs rebuilt. ULSD has cost them a lot of money and we shouldn't be hurting the people who grow that food we eat. if they wanna hurt somebody they should hurt all the chinese manufacturers not American farmers. that is why i believe our government blows

All this ULSD stuff was all the excuse I needed to get off my lazy behind and start filtering my waste oil to run in the tractors. I'm up to 1.5 gal of waste oil to every 10 gal of diesel and so far no problems or noticeable drop in power.

the heat was on in Northern MN this last summer. cops where stopping every diesel vehicle on the road and sticking tanks. they where doing this in a town where about half the population is in the logging business.
