Not saying you're wrong but it hasn't seemed to hurt him yet..... and thats two years of running 90% ATF. If he can do that I don't see how it could hurt one that only running one bottle per tank

Thanks for the well thought out PM Nadair Also yup you caught me, I made it all up... Why does ATF have no BTU rating? It doesnt raise the cetane rating, it just releases higher amounts of sulfer out of the exhaust pipe. Also have any of you "Nadair" thought abt what RED ATF with do to normal TAXED diesel fuel? Try to explain that one to the tropper that dips your tank. But I dnt care anymore, Its your rig and you will do what you want and I will do what I want so either way... dnt care anymore

Also pm sent back

There is no need to add anything to diesel fuel.
Bold statement. I'm pretty sure when it's -40 and my trucks parked outside there is a NEED to add something to the fuel. ULSD, although they claim it does, doesn't have the same lubricating properties as the old diesel formula. Therefore trucks like the Dodge 24 valve with VP44 injection pump sure do benefit from an additive that increases lubricity. ATF is not the way to get that lubricity though.

Besides being false information, that doesn't matter one single bit. Your engine is designed to operate on ULSD.

That is false information. There are millions of rotary pump engines running raw diesel all over the world without any issues. The lubricity "problem" is a myth made to push sales of useless recreational additives.
ive ran a bottle of ATF in all of my vehicles ranging from gas to diesel and everytime i add a bottle after it mixes itself in pretty good the vehicles do seem to run better and do better on fuel milage.

i will allways add either ATF or a regular diesel additive at fillup regardless.

i was doing some thinking, my uncle has a 5 speed 24v with 148kish miles on it and has been through two vp44s two pumps in the tank and a set of injectors he never used additive at all.

now my friend has a 6 speed 24v 2001 model with almost 173k on it and has only been through the pump in the tank because of a tear in the screen when he removed it,he has ran atf and dieselfuel additive in it since hes bought it.

both trucks have seen the same conditions, weather wise, both vehicles have towed heavy loads and both drive them like a bat out of hell.

coincidence or?
