burning veggie cost me a engine cuz what washes by the rings will mix with motor oil and will turn it to jello. now i convert the veggie to bio diesel drops out the fats and can mix it with anything. just my lesson learned

I have run wvo for three years and do a mix an have had great results. The mix I use is 200 gallons wvo(cleaned an filtered)30 gallons kerosene 20 gallons regular unlead gas and 150 onces diesel kleen inthe grey jug. mix for two hours let settle for 48 hours pump 6 inches off bottom through 3 more filters that are at least 5 micron each with the last being a golden rod filter/water seperater.

anyone else using this type of mixture? I ran into someone today adding kero and unleaded gas to filtered WVO. he gave me 8 gallons and I mixed it with 18 gallons in my truck and there was a huge difference. mileage up, engine noise down and seemed to be a bit more peppier

the guy adds the gas and kero to settled wvo. then passes them through two sets of pillow cases. then he passes then through 3 water filters that are 30 20 microns. then before it goes to your tank it passes through a 10 micron filter.

does anyone have designs for a system like this?

2 summers in a row I have run 80 veg 20 diesel in my 24 valve . Filtered cold wvo thru 3 pillow cases . Oil from my own fryer that cooks 98 percent only fresh potatos . No meat . No problems yet . Runs better on oil than diesel . I think cold slow oil filters more stuff out than thin hot fast moving oil . Just my opinion though

Default WVO blends

I have ran 5 parts WVO 2 parts #2 diesel 1 part gasoline in 87 International / 96 12v Cummins / 2002 Power Stroke with no issues.

However.....only in warm temperatures and the other key is allowing the WVO to settle out first and only using the best quality WVO from the top.
If the WVO looks good at normal temp's it will work well.

I have ran small amounts in my 03' Cummins with the commonrail fuel system, but I am very cautious.

Would like to talk to someone who has run unheated WVO blended with diesel in these high pressure systems....

Default wvo

2 summers in a row now I have run 80% wvo with 20% diesel in my 01 with no problem . My only advantage is I own the restaurant and the only thing cooked in the fryer is raw potatoes . If you have oil that has cooked alot of meat you might run into problems from a high fatty acid content . My truck runs better and cleaner on wvo than it does on diesel . It is very hard on the lift pump to move the thicker oil . I have had to replace the oem lift pump once a year, but I am still ahead in the money saved on fuel . I have 225000 on the oem vp44 with no problems, yet . No conversion or heaters or anything, just oil filtered thru 3 layers of high thread count pillow case, settle out time, and not pulling oil from the bottom few inches of my storage tank . I have about 300 gallons in reserve
