manual trans or auto????
so the transmission went out of my truck monday and I've been thinking about putting a manual trans, so should i put a auto back in the truck or a manual? i found a guy ta put a manual trans, clutch, drive shafts, transfer case, comp, and whole clutch set up for 2,200 so is it worth it?

That's half what it will cost for a BTS...
My .02 is to get the built auto and be done... No hack job tranny swappin. |
have you seen any of the guy's work?
Auto does everything better... There is no up side to a row boat...
psh. oh no you didnt. OH NO YOU DIDN'T!!! lol manual transmission is the best thing since sliced bread
yes he owns his own shop, if it can be done with a ford diesel hes done it, powersmoker if you fork over the other half id happily get the BTS but until then im on a low budget, considering the motor just blew in the ol ladys blazer:dang: so auto is always better???
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- and prison i know i love manuals but itd cost me 3000 ta have my auto built pretty good, this is the first auto ive owned besides my very first truck when i was 14 lol |
no way. stock for stock manual trans. built auto might be great from what i hear. i still prefer manual transmission.
i can have mine built pretty good for 2800, but i like manuals, but im needing a trans ta last me for awhile and i mean a long while lol
well what are ya gonna do with it?
what do you do with truck? Auto is faster and easier on leg, manual pulles much better and works in the mountains better. If you live in flat country auto is better, just dont try pulling 20k trailer with auto in the hills.
